The Kettering Fairmont Choral Department is a place where students learn about the artistry and mechanics of music through singing. The current enrollment is approximately 190 singers in three curricular choirs and four extra-curricular choirs/ensembles, representing differing levels of vocal ability and styles.
Singers participate in a wide variety of performance experiences. There are numerous school concerts throughout the year, as well as outside opportunities. These include Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District Honors Choir, OMEA Solo and Ensemble Contest, as well as festivals and clinics presented by area colleges and organizations. The extra-curricular groups also participate in various competitions held thought-out the year, including the Central Crossing Invitational, Beavercreek Invitational as well as play host to the Fairmont Classic Invitational.
